Update

I haven't updated in a while.

4 weeks ago, I did a 10km for the Firemen of Laval.



At around 6.5 km, I hit a hole with my left foot - I walked a bit and finally finished the race. I was a bit in pain but not too bad. I put some ice when I got home and wrapped it up.

Went to the clinic the next day.

After an x-ray - was sent to the hospital as I had broken a little bone in my foot :(

Saw a specialist the day after and was prescribed a "sexy" boot!!

This explains my absence in the last month! I am in no pain - but I hate this boot! I can't run which makes me very sad - but I started going back to the gym last week to do some weights and a bit of elliptical. I have two more weeks to go then I get another x-ray - hope it is all healed!!

Un Second Souffle Run

Last Sunday, went to St-Eustache for a 10km run.

We were freezing until we started running - that's explains how I look here...

As you can see, Ben was freezing too... not sure he will be happy I am posting this pic!! LOL!

We were over 600 for the 10km. It was a nice run with a small hill.

Both Ben and I did great - I ran in 53:32 (my best run was over 55) and Ben did it in 49:17 (his best run was 49:49!).

The best part - when we got to the finish line... we had a welcoming committee - my in-laws and my sister-in-law and her husband - first time we had a fan club waiting for us!!! :) So much fun!! Merci d'être venu xoxo

For 20 bucks, we got a t-shirt (that Ben is wearing), a light snack (cheese, granola bar, apple and juice) and a medal - yeah :)

Montreal Rock'N'Roll Marathon

Two weekends ago, I did the 10km at the Montreal Rock'N'Roll Marathon. So fun!! It was a bit cold as we were waiting and there were soooo many people!! Just for the 10km, there was more than 4,000 runners!!

All in all it was a great race - well organized, with lots of music and people. Didn't do my best time - but had fun running with my brother and sister-in-law for the first time!

La Grande Vadrouille

Did another 10km run last Sunday. La Grande Vadrouille (which means Big Mop in English - no idea why they call it that! LOL!)

Ben ran it with me... or should I say, in front of me! We were about 300 doing the 10km run. The sky was blue but it was very cool before the start of the race! I did my best time - 55m11s!! So happy!! Don't think I will ever beat that time... And Ben did it in 49m49s - way to go Ben!!!

Next Sunday I will be running the Montreal Rock'N'Roll Marathon 10km with my brother and sister-in-law. 25,000 runners will be participating in the Marathon, Half Marathon, 10km, 5km and 1km!! That's a lot of people!!!

My first 10km!

I started running a couple of years ago, as a challenge. Never thought I would enjoy it. Started slowly and built up to running 5 km. This year, decided to push myself a bit more, and started running more 10kms. And, finally, decided to try my first organized run last Sunday... didn't think I would like it... I LOVED it!! So fun!! Was hard to finish though because I started too fast so the last 2 kms were real hard! My official time: 56m42s - fastest I have ever run :)

Looking forward to my next official race! :)

3 weeks off

Vacation is almost over :( but we had a wonderful few weeks off! I haven't looked through my photos yet, but here are some instagram shots I downloaded today!

Hell's Kitchen Flea Market

Saturday morning, after our walk through Harlem, we went to Hell's Kitchen to visit the Flea Market. I could have spend hours there!! There were all kinds of junk and treasures too!!
I got myself an old Kodak camera for $10 for my old camera collection!







Then, I wanted to go to B&H... and it was closed for a holiday!!

Apple Picking

A couple of weekends ago, we went apple picking. One of my favorite activities to do in the Fall!
