The many faces of Grizzly

I've had Grizzly for more than 10 years.  She was a very quiet cat until she lost her brother. I had to put him down a couple of years ago because he had cancer.  Since she lost KitKat as a sidekick, she follows me around, meows all the time, wakes me up in the middle of night, sleeps on me and is just a wonderful furry friend ;)  She is lucky she is so cute!

Thank you all for your sweet words yesterday. Yesterday was hard and today is a bit better. Still find myself calling his name and looking for him. It will take some time but life goes on. Meanwhile, my other cat, Grizzly doesn't seem to have noticed that she is missing a brother... Cats!! Probably she will notice when we are back to work tomorrow and she is alone all day! She has been doing what she does best... sleeping!


Went for a walk to clear my head - and went to a small farm near my home. Maybe I could adopt him and bring him back home?? Think Grizzly would notice??!! ;)

Goodbye KitKat

I am so sad. I had to take the hard decision to have my cat - KitKat - put to sleep. I have had him for almost 10 years - he was such a sweet and affectionate cat - I miss him already.

I noticed a few days ago that he wasn't eating and was just staring at his water without drinking. Noticed too that he had lost a lot of weight, suddenly. Brought him to the clinic a couple of hours ago, and they found a large mass in his kidney. Cancer.

Never thought I would be crying my eyes out over a cat. Lost a few dogs when I was a kid and teenager and was heartbroken but never thought a cat would get to me like he did!

Cats and Alley

Yesterday was sunny and so beautiful - went for a long walk with Ben in St-Henri. Here's one quick shot I took of an alley - loved the icy look of it! and the sunflare, of course! ;)

Halloween

Yesterday was a busy night - had made 120 goody bags for the kids and the bags were all gone within an hour!!! Saw lots of pirates, princesses, witches, ghosts and pumpkins!! :)

Had bought myself a witches hat... and got a $1 costume for Kitkat... two witches in the house!!




Don't think he liked his costume very much!! ;)

Cats on the lookout

First off, thanks everyone for your encouragement yesterday!! It helps to know that I have you guys to cheer me on!! :)

Ben came back last night from Toronto - he had been gone all week... I missed him but I think my cats missed him too... I found her on Ben's laptop bag... guess she missed him too?!! ;)

It's been a while since I posted some cat pics... My cats are starting to be jealous of the attention I am giving to the flowers, the buildings and the landscapes around me!!

Philadelphia B&B

Beach part of the vacation is over... :( - But we are now in beautiful Philadephia where we stayed for 2 nights at the beautiful gorgeous Gables Bed & Breakfast! This B&B deserves a post in itself!!

Every morning, when I went outside for a nice cup of coffee, this cute little guy came over to say hello!!

I've been trying to catch KitKat with my fisheye with no luck... the best I can come up with for now is this... I'll keep on trying!! :)


Went for a short walk at Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue, a small town with lots of restaurant and a few shops and lots of boats!!

Finally the weather is getting better - they are saying hot and humid this weekend! So love the green all around me!!
