As Ben doesn't like to be used as a model, and as it was too cold to go practice outside, I practiced on Grizzly last Sunday. She was a willing model for a short period... but she still moved to much and didn't listen to my directions!!
These are all SOOC (for my non-photographer friends - straight out of the camera). Wanted to see if I was on the right track with this photography class!
Had to take some shots at f/4, f/8 and f/16. The f/16 were blurry because she moved!
cc is welcome!!

These look pretty darn good for sooc's, especially the first two!
My aunt had a cat that looked just like that. It was a female named Sadie, she was so pretty and sweet until she started rattling doors at 5am, lol.
Love his eyes! Great job with the lighting as well. Sounds like you are having fun!
Lovely model - and considering how low your shutter speeds were getting - these are darn good. But your objective was to test the different aperture levels and you accomplished that.
My cat is my most reliable model too. Those look good to me!
