6 months later...

Started back on Weight Watchers at the end of March... I had lost almost 40 pounds a couple of years ago - I had maintained for two years and then the weight started to come back :(  After gaining back 20 pounds, decided I needed to go back on WW seriously before the 20 pounds became 40...!

I had hoped that after 6 months I would have lost the 20 pounds - no such luck - my metabolism is very slow - so after 6 months, my total loss is 14 pounds as of yesterday...  even though I go to the gym 4-5 times a week, and I started running a couple of months ago.  I guess I just have to be more patient!  I would love to lose another 10 pounds - but since it's taken me so long to lose almost 15 - I am hoping that by Christmas I will have lost 5!!

Went looking for the photos taken in March and asked Ben to take some last weekend.  Don't see much of a change, but I do feel better in my clothes!!

Oh, I can see the difference in your face, but you are beautiful regardless of your weight! Good luck with your program!

Congrats on the weight loss! I also lost about that on WW a few years ago and am back trying to lose it again now. I think you look awesome!

Some of the frustrated lack of weight loss despite increased activity level is possibly because of just that, you have increased your activity level and built muscle. The # on the scale is not the only measure of living healthy - getting out and being active and just 'feeling better' is huge.

Now - I need to follow that advise.

by-the-way - I think you are looking good.

I see you every day and I can see the difference. I know sometimes you're frustrated and as all of your comments say, the scale doesn't matter but your healthy lifestyle is what counts. You're a beautiful person, inside & out.

You're looking great! And doing great, even with all the cupcake recipes :) Actually, after your initial weight loss and postings, you so inspired me that I also joined WW. . . and slowly, ever so slowly, lost 40 lbs! But then, 15 crept back on. So I also returned to WW, but it is unbelievably slow, and I'm at a stubborn, stubborn plateau! I'm determined, though, and even if I just "halt the retreat" especially with holidays approaching, I know how much better it'll be for me! I filled out the surveys on realage.com and livingto100.com, which is highly motivating. . . more than the mirror would be for me. So hang in there. . . . and keep inspiring me :)

Remember muscle weighs more than fat. You should never go by the scale just by the way your clothes fit and how you feel. Keep up the great work. Also, maybe try working out at a different time of day then your body is used to. I know it sounds weird but you need to give your body and shock and changing the time of day can help you. Also try some new exercises that your body is not used to. Good luck and even if you don't take my advice you are doing great!!
