Ste-Catherine Street Sidewalk Sale and Microwave Blueberry Jam

Today, instead of going on a long hike in the woods... we decided to "hike" downtown - this weekend was Ste-Catherine Street famous sidewalk sale.  More than 2kms of shopping outside!! We walked for about 3 hours and managed to spend a bit... I bought 3 tops for a little less than $30!! Now that's a bargain!! ;)

Came back home to have lunch and relax and then I made some fresh blueberry jam.  I had made this recipe last Summer and it was soooo easy I had to make it again!! :)

Microwave Blueberry Jam (from Food.com) (my changes in red)

3 cups fresh blueberries or frozen blueberries, unsweetened (used fresh)

1/2 cup sugar (used a little less)
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Puree blueberries in blender or food processor.
Place in a 12-cup microwave-safe dish with sugar and cinnamon. Stir.
Microwave on High, uncovered, for 8-10 minutes -- until mixture comes to a full roiling boil and boils for one full minute.
Stir well once during cooking.
Remove from microwave and pour into sterilized jars.
Cover and refrigerate.
Keeps well for at least two weeks.

How easy! It usually takes me hours to make jam. Do you think it would work with strawberries? Tks for sharing

This looks heavenly. I sigh every time I stumbled across the photo on foodgawker. Awesome stuff really.
