Rememberance Day

Tomorrow, November 11, is Rememberance Day in Canada. A day to commemorate the members of the armed forces that went to war. It is also known as Poppy Day - so, every year, I buy an artificial poppy from a veteran.

I saw this huge poppy on a building near work. Thought it was a wonderful way to pay tribute to the veterans that went to war.

As I was walking to work, I also saw these two signs, that enumerate things that we should be thankful for! The first one, is thankful for his roomate, turkey, choice, coffee, music, etc.

I am thankful for so much!! :)

These are awesome! Tomorrow is Veteran's Day here, maybe similar to your Rememberance Day in that we honor our armed forces. I love those signs they made, I an definitely going to have my kids sit down and write what they are thankful for, that would be a great activity for Thanksgiving! :)

That is one large poppy. What a cool idea to put everything we are thankful for in a frame like that.
