What a weekend!! Started Friday night with virus invading my computer and me panicking that I was losing all my photos that were stocked in my computer (without backup!!)... Brought it to Best Buy yesterday morning and got it back this afternoon, minus a few things - but didn't loose photos!! Yes!!! Did lose all my actions though :( Will have to go shop around to get some new ones!
Last night was invited to T for a wonderful BBQ - so much fun!! Ate too much (of course) - but everything was soooo good!!
Brought two kinds of cupcakes. Here's the first ones I baked - Chocolate & Chili Cupcakes
Chocolate & Chili Cupcakes
Adapted from 500 Cupcakes
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 cup flour
4 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tsp baking powder
4 eggs
2 tsp chipotle chili powder
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
For the frosting:
1 1/2 cups confectionners' sugar
1/2 cup cocoa powder
3 tbsp milk
1/2 cup butter, softened
Preheat the oven to 350. Place 15 baking cups in muffins pans. Combine all the cupcake ingredients, except the chocolate chips, in a large bowl and beat with an electric mixer until smooth, about 2 to 3 minutes. Stir in the chocolate chips.
Spoon the batter into the cups. Bake for 20 minutes. Remove pans from the oven and cool for 5 minutes. Then remove the cupcakes and cool on a rack.
To make the frosting, blend all the ingredients together in a food processor. Spread the frosting on the cooled cupcakes.
Store unfrosted in an airtight container for up to 2 days.

sorry to hear about the computer virus but glad to see you are still baking such yummy goodies.
and you bought an external hard drive ---right? right? Girrrl!!!! I'm glad you didn't lose your pictures, and maybe if you notify the people from which you originally purchased some of the actions they can re-issue them. Cupcakes look yummy - minus the gold and blue sprinkles (our biggest rival's colors). ;)
What??? Chocolate & chili! This sounds fun and looks like another recipe I'm going to have to print out!
If your program is CS4, the actions may still actually be on your computer somewhere. If you search the name of a few you remember, you might find the actual file of the action, and when you click on it, it should install itself back in.
I'm not sure if Elements works the same way, but I'm hoping you can get some of them back!
Chocolate and chili, how delicious.
