30th Anniversary of the Montreal Jazz Festival

The Jazz Festival is already 30 years old!! This year, the big outside show was Stevie Wonder - but as I hate big crowds and it was pouring rain that night - didn't go... I managed to walk around the site during lunch hour a couple of times - makes me feel that on vacation for an hour!!

So hot last Friday, people were all around the fountains!

Love the colourful fountain!
During lunch hour, no big names - the group playing was a group of students - still fun to listen!

These two little girls really were enjoying the music!! too cute!

People everywhere - and nothing compared to the crowds at night!!

30 years of music - 30 years of success!

Of course, these are essential for any festival!
And just because I said I was gonna play more with my new camera - played with the settings and got this!

These are so fun and colorful! Love all the colors on that fountain. You caught such vibrance and life in these. Great Port-A-Potty shots, too! :)

LOVE that barrel arch! So colorful and funky--and the last shot with the water jets is really cool. Love the ultramod wcs--the design on the doors reminds me of swan heads.....

Dang - those are some artsy potties. Love your photos of the barrels, especially the one with the fountain/barrels. I used to go to the Regatta (next city over) when they had 'big' acts - and always enjoyed watching two elderly men that would cut loose dancing (every year). Good times!

That looks like a lot of fun. Oh, how I would have loved to see Stevie Wonder, but as a fellow disliker (is that a word) of crowds, I totally understand why you didn't go.

Look at the color displayed everywhere! I love it. My fav is that blue sky though...we haven't seen much of it, and now it seems like a treat every time I do. Canada just seems to celebrate everything in style.
