Ramezay Castle - Old Montreal

Sunday was cold and grey, so we decided to play tourist - we went for a long walk in Old Montreal! Hadn't been in a long time - and should go more often!!

Walked around Chateau Ramezay - constructed in 1705. Beautiful old building! It was closed while we were there, so didn't get to visit the interior.

The different owners of the castle -

Beautiful garden recreated - too bad the flowers were not out yet!

Your 5th photo is intriguing! Look at all those growing things (plants!) What a great idea. . . playing tourist in your beautiful, beautiful city.

What an amazing look at all of this history. I am bound to make it up there this summer so I can scope out the scene if I don't get overwhelmingly busy. Its just gorgeous.
