Ice Fishing

Some more photos from our walk on Lake St-Louis last Sunday. Don't think I would walk on the lake today, as it has been mild all week and probably is now dangerous to walk on it!!

There were still a lot of holes for ice fishing

They even drive their trucks on the Lake!! I wouldn't try it myself...
You can see the little fishing poles on the ice.
a little tiny fish

More fishing poles
Water looks so cold!!
Dixie on her way back home!!

How neat is that? Yeah I don't think I would go on the ice myself either. EVEN if it was 2 feet thick. LOL

Oh, I love these! I used to go ice fishing with my dad and grampa when I was little. We had a shanty, though, which made it a little easier. Love the shots of the fishing holes. Can't believe the augers--we used to chop a hole in the ice!

Great shots of ice fishing. Even though we wouldn't go on the ice after the mild weather, there's always some dummy that will do it, isn't there?

Those little poles all over the ice crack me up! I don't think I would be on the ice either--even if it was frozen solid. I'm too big of a chicken :)

I am surprised there are no shelters. Nice captures!

Very cool, but don't think I'd be out there on the ice! That fish looks a bit small though, don't think it's even big enough to eat. :)

I would be so scared to walk on the ice.

I really like seeing these ice fishing photos; I hear about it all the time, but have never actually done it myself. I absolutely love your last photo, with Dixie hading back home. Very evocative photo!
