So sad...

I have been taking the metro (subway) for about 20 years. Morning and night, every weekday. Brought my camera yesterday and took a few shots of one of the metro station. Didn't know that I would be using these today to talk about a sad event. This morning, I went to the gym and decided to take the metro to work instead of walking as it was very cold. As I was waiting for my metro, the metro going the other direction arrived... and a lady jumped. OMG!!! I will never forget this. I was lucky as I was looking the other side, but the sound will always be with me. I stayed there five minutes, in a daze, not quite sure what to do. People were crying, but everything was so silent. I am so sad and so shaken by this event. My thoughts and prayers are with this lady and her family.

I'm sorry you were exposed to that. Prayers for you too (peace in your heart and mind as you continue forward in your life), and of course for the woman and her family.

OMG... how horrifying and sad. My heart just breaks for that poor woman's family, and for YOU for having to witness such a thing (if not by sight, by hearing it was bad enough!). Oh honey.

How terribly sad. Your photos have a sense of loneliness to them that I really noticed for such an urban place. I hope you find some peace with this experience.

Oh, ((hugs)) to you, and prayers for her family. That is awful.

Your shots are perfect, though they had to tell a horrible story. The solemn, hollow feel of them tells the story very well.
