Ice Cold Day

Last week was an icy cold week. Got lots of snow, then we got ice. It was cold, cold, cold (I almost froze my fingers trying to take photos at 7:00 on my way to work!) but oh so beautiful!!

An apple tree on my way to the bus stop

Love all the little details of the branches with the ice

More of the apple tree

A frozen park downtown

A picnic table (with IndieJane's grunge) - wouldn't sit there to have my lunch!

More IndyJane grunge

Sorry so many... I am cold just looking at them!! ;)

I know that it was an awful storm, but it left behind some of the most beautiful scenery. Its like a winter wonderland out there...so magical. Thank you for taking the time to share these photos! Beautiful. My favorite is the one with the berries. The red and the crispy ice is gorgeous.

I love that bitter cold look. i can imagine myself sitting on that bench with a steaming cup of coffee, and something to sit on of course to remain dry.

Brrrr....these are so cool! I love the last few of them. I also love the ones where the background is so blue through the trees!

Great shots. I haven't done any ice photos yet. That's probably the only redeeming thing about an ice storm!

Love the beauty that ice storms leave behind, but it sure is dangerous.

Ice storms are horrendous, but the results are so beautiful!! I love these, particularly the ice encased branches. Thanks for going outside in what I know must've been bitter cold to take these...they are gorgeous!!

These are so beautiful, I've never seen iced over branches like that in person! I bet your fingers were frozen, I can 'feel' the cold just looking at the photos.
