First Day in Toronto

First day in the big city of Toronto. Was warm but very cloudy. Walked for hours!! Don't have much time to play with photos. But here's a few:
A statue to commemorate the soldiers who served our country during the wars:

And as Nov. 11 was just last week, a sea of poppies to celebrate Rememberance Day

There is a beautiful park in front of our hotel - just love the gates!!

And a view from our room - 38th floor - beautiful view of CN tower!

That gate!! Wow--love the detail. I was drooling over the building behind the monument---so many cool details and features. Love the poppies in the grass; I remember when I was little that the vets used to sell poppies for Veteran's Day.

That gate is just beautiful! The poppies give the grass such a great pop of color!

I really like your second photo of the poppies. Such beautiful color and they haven't wilted from the cold yet?????
