That chimney at the hospital os for the heating system. A complex like that will have a building dedicated to heating the whole place and piping it under ground.

You always have such beautiful vibrant colors in your photos. As to the tower at the hospital, I see that Sharon has an explanation. I was going to guess that it was an incinerator chimney for when they burn all the body parts LOL.

Isn't it just amazing to see so much detail. Its beautiful. I love the iron fence on the building, and the smoke stack has a real urban touch.
