Here's more pics from Sunday. The first one I took at the church when VA was being baptisted. Not happy with the pic because it seems so yellow. Tried to fix it with Photoshop but I am still a novice with Photoshop... When you shoot in dark places, how do you manage to have sharp clear shots??
thought this was so sweet!!

He is a cutie!
You can't expect so much snow to melt in just a few days. ;)
great shots...that last one kills me...yucky snow!
Cari
Such a cutie!
too funny about the sandles/snow. As for indoor shots, you should play around with the different settings until you feel more comfortable. Start with ISO about 400, then set your aperature and SS.
LOL, the sandals on the snow made me smile.
OMG! How funny~~ thats great! What a cute nephew too!
his blue eyes are so adorable-what a cutie! as for dark places, definitely start playing with the ISO and you could also resort to a flash. mainly, just see what you are comfortable with.
I usually do a custom white balance and then in post processing an adjustment layer with a cooling filter when dealing with that yellow indoor light. Love your bare toes in the snow!
In lowlight, sharp photos will have a lot to do with ISO and Shutter speed. How fast is your lens? It isn't that bad and you can desaturate the yellow if you really wanted to, but it's the moment that's important there. I probably would not even mess with it. What a treasure as is.
Your nephew is really cute! That last shot is so funny! At least it's warm enough to wear sandals even with snow...we're still freezing our behinds off!
I just love seeing those tootsies in snow. That is how it is here too. I really couldn't wait to put my sandals on either. My toes are a vary similar color. :)
Sandals in the snow! Like the irony there.
I like that first one very much! And the last is really funny!
I think the first shot is cute! YOu have got grat advice. For dark places I really bump up the ISO and run noiseware later if needed.
Love the sandals in the snow! The little one's eyes are fabulous. What a cutie pie!
he is adorable.
Awww, what a precious shot of VA. You could try going into hue/saturation and choosing the yellow channel and reducing the saturation, that might help with the yellow lighting. Setting a custom white balance in your camera beforehand would have helped get the colors right.
And OMG that sandaled foot in the snow is great! TOO ironic! :)
too funny about being in sandals with snow still on the ground!
