I guess this is a sign that Spring has started... people took out their kayacs on the lake!
Want to buy a lense.. not sure if I want a wide angle or a macro... Got a Pentax K100 - any suggestions? I tried to take a couple of close-up shots of a tree - can see I need a lense to help me out!

I say rent some lenses to test out the waters. I rented a macro and 24-70 and really want the 24-70 a bit more so that helps me know what to save for:)

Yumm, cake! Tell him the cranberries have lots of phytonutrients in them. I'm in love with my macro lens. . . but bobbi's advice about renting and testing it out for yourself is very good advice!

That cake looks delicious, and your focus on those shots is perfect! We got kayaks last fall and I can't wait to get out on the water again. I'm no help with lenses; I'd say get both. :-)

I am really impressed with the cake photos. I have tried food photography and I just don't have an eye for it. I never know where to put the focus. Yours look great. You should keep it up you could make a recipe book or something!
The cake looks SOOOO GOOOOD! MMM! I don't know anything about Pentax lenses but if you are interested in macro you might look into getting extension tubes, then you could use one of the lenses you already have and get CLOSE CLOSE for macros! That's what I do until I can afford a real macro lens, I've been so pleased with what I get so far! :)
