I was feeling nostalgic and needed to go see my mom's resting place. She passed away many years ago (more than 25!) after loosing her battle with cancer. I don't go often to the cemetery, but for some reason, needed to go and be near her. Only problem... lots and lots of snow! Had trouble finding my way but did spend a bit of time in this beautiful calm setting. Will go back soon when there is less snow.
I think I needed this quiet time and place after all the craziness of New York!

The cemetery looks so peaceful covered in snow like that. I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. Even though it's been so many years, I know it still hurts. {{{hugs}}}

I love the sentiment to that saying. I have something with that on it for my DD who passed away in 2005. It really does feel peaceful.
We all need those visits from time to time...we went to my dh's dad's resting place last weekend and he passed away 20 years ago from cancer as well. These moments really are important.
That is a pretty neat cemetery... great shots. It is nice to be able to get away and focus a little. TFS
You really captured "peace" in these photos. I can feel the serenity in that place from your photos. Wonderful job.
Such beautiful and calming shots. Sending you hugs for today
You were too young to have lost your mom. Hugs! These are pretty, peaceful shots.
Beautiful cemetery. I'm so sorry you lost your mom. Even after so many years, I'm sure the pain and missing her are still there. I hope you found some peace there visiting her resting spot.
Beautiful pictures. I am sorry about your mom. It seems very serene there. Thanks for sharing.
Love the path in that first shot
I love your what you said about finding a quiet place and how something you just need to connect with someone who isn't with us any longer. I know I feel that way about my grandma. Beautiful post.
