Cake, cat and dog!
A couple of weekends ago, prepared a cake for my step-mom's 75th birthday. Didn't quite turn out as I wished - but still was delicious!

Two of the guests of the party - LOL!

Grizzly
That was the name I gave her when I got her 11 years ago. Now I call her everything but that. She follows me everywhere and wakes me up many times during the night just so that she can get comfortable on my chest or on my legs... She meows all the time, she thinks we are there to serve her and to listen to her. She can make me crazy (and she does all the time) but I am sure I will miss her when she is not there to follow me around...

My first model
As Ben doesn't like to be used as a model, and as it was too cold to go practice outside, I practiced on Grizzly last Sunday. She was a willing model for a short period... but she still moved to much and didn't listen to my directions!!
These are all SOOC (for my non-photographer friends - straight out of the camera). Wanted to see if I was on the right track with this photography class!
Had to take some shots at f/4, f/8 and f/16. The f/16 were blurry because she moved!
cc is welcome!!

Exposure 0.025 sec (1/40), Aperture f/4.0, Focal Length 50 mm, ISO Speed 200

Exposure 0.067 sec (1/15), Aperture f/8.0, Focal Length 50 mm, ISO Speed 200

Computer Helper
Whenever I sit at my computer - it doesn't take two seconds that I have a feline helper. She meows until I pick her up and then she installs herself comfortably on my lap... with her paws on my laptop! Finally this weekend Ben was able to catch her in action!!

Somebody Missed Us...
We were gone two nights and we were welcomed by this smiling face!! She meowed and meowed and meowed and meowed... woke me up a couple of times by putting her furry face in my face and slept on me most of the night...
You are lucky you are kinda cute because I like my sleep and I wish you didn't wake me up every night!
Today, she slept most of the day and she is back to her meowing to get my attention... cats... gotta love them! ;)

Luminotherapy for cats?
I so wish it was Summer soon so that I can see more of the sun. I think Grizzly is in need of some sunshine too - she just loves to hang out under our lamps!! ;)

Feliz navidad de Diego...
On Christmas' eve, spent the evening with my family at my step-sister's home. A wonderful time was had by all!! We ate, we had a few drinks, talked, laughed, danced, played with the kids, ate some more, laughed some more and of course exchanged gifts! It was a fun evening for all!!
Let me introduce you now to the star of the evening... Diego, my step-sister's cat - he is soooo sweet and just loves to sleep under the Christmas tree... here are a few shots I took during the evening... :)

Ben is in trouble...
He mowed the lawn... and some of my peonies...

Grizzly claims she didn't see anything...

Next year, I have to find a metal support for my peonies if I don't want them to meet a tragic death!
