Images like this make me realize how lucky I am to have a stable job, good family, and a place to sleep. I wish there were more I could do to help folks like this. Very poignant and thought inducing captures. Thank you for making me appreciate today.
Aww, such a sad part of Montreal that you just don't hear about. I guess all big cities have their share though. You know, I've said this before, but Montreal is one of the places I've always wanted to visit, and seeing it through your lens has been a special treat for me. I LOVE your daily blog photos!!
A roof over our heads, clothes on our backs, food to eat. . . . the basics. We really are lucky when we can take these things for granted, and eveything else is "icing on the cake." It's so sad that not everyone in the world gets to have these things, and photos like these are so very humbling. . . .

So sad. Like Amanda, seeing pictures like this makes me appreciate more what I have.

very humbling images. Your processing is perfect for this content. And I agree, there is so much that we forget to be grateful for on a daily basis.
Your photo journalism is really touching. Like the other ladies said, we have so much to be thankful for.
Seeing the sign in French really brought home the universal nature of homelessness :(
We have a lot of homeless people in Atlanta too - it is very sad. No one should have to live that way.
