Sweet Little Bridges

On our walk on Ile Ste-Helene - found this beautiful path near a small pond.  The little bridges were too cute!

Levis Tower - Ste-Helene Island

Built in the 1930s, the Lévis Tower was originally used as a water reservoir and observation tower.   Would love to visit it - but it wasn't open for visitors :(

Biosphere

This big globe was the United States Pavilion during Expo 67 in Montreal.  Now it is used for different expositions.  Love the architecture of this!

Happy Birthday to Runaway Ben!

Yup - today is Ben's birthday.  He can runaway from my camera but he can't runaway from the fact that he is getting older today!! :)

Olympic Stadium

I have spent the last week or so watching the Olympics. I just love the speed skating events and the hockey games!!!  Montreal got the Olympics in 1976... 

This is a view of our Olympic Stadium from across the St-Lawrence River.  We used to have a baseball team (the Expos) that played there after the Stadium was constructed... The Expos are now the Washington Nationals... The Stadium is now used for various concerts and events.

Old Montreal - Beautiful old building

Sunday was a bit cloudy but after a nice brunch, we decided to walk around and look at the old buildings. This old building is now a hotel. Would love to see what it looks like inside!!

Griffintown - one last time!

Backalleys of Griffintown

Went for a long walk in Griffintown, about 10 minutes away from my neighbourghood - it's a poor side of the city - but so beautiful to walk around! Lots of backalleys - lots of colors - many churches - a photographer's dream!!

Graffiti

First off, I want to thank everyone for helping me choose some photographs to show at my Photo Club meeting. Finally, I decided to bring the corn shot, the leaves shot and this shot here - it's written in very bad French - with lots of typos - "No publicity pamphlets - save trees".

The meeting went very well - lots of fun - everybody brought 3 photos and we all judged, without knowing who took what... learned lots by listening to everyone's comments!! I think I did well - got some good feedbacks on my three pics!! ;) Will let you know what my next challenge is soon - will need your input again!! :)
