Montreal Rock'N'Roll Marathon

Two weekends ago, I did the 10km at the Montreal Rock'N'Roll Marathon. So fun!! It was a bit cold as we were waiting and there were soooo many people!! Just for the 10km, there was more than 4,000 runners!!

At 7 a.m., before we left home, with my brother and sister-in-law

All in all it was a great race - well organized, with lots of music and people. Didn't do my best time - but had fun running with my brother and sister-in-law for the first time!

Most important men in my life - Part 2

Yup, Part 2 of the most important men in my life...!

My dad, of course! He has been an example for me and somebody I have looked up to since I was a kid. He is a wonderful man who has strong values and raised us (my brother and me) to be very independent. He retired many years ago and has been enjoying his retirement by taking trips all over - Venezuela, France (he is French), Tunisia, Australia, etc., etc.! My love of photography I got from him - I have so many pictures that he took when we were kids - he always had his old camera around! Thank you papa! Je t'aime mon papa et je te souhaite (d'avance!) une heureuse fête des papas!! xoxo

Another important man in my life is my dear brother... We played together when we were kids, we fought when we were teenagers and now we have a great relationship as adults... I just wish we could see each other more often... ;) I am so proud to be his little sister!! Je t'aime frérot et je suis là pour toi xoxo

They will both kill me when they see the pic I choose ... ;) A party last Summer where we are the three of us together - my brother had bleached his hair for a dare and my dad was wearing my brother-in-law's shades... too cute!! Love this pic of us!!

100th Post - Yeah!! :)

Can't believe I'm already up to my 100th post! Participating in POTD pushed me into taking more pics and hopefully better pics!! ;)
For Mother's Day, I would like to thank one special lady - my stepmom. She and my dad have been married 14 years today. Happy anniversary M and Dad!! xoxo M - thank you for making my dad happy, for being a wonderful mother, grandmother and stepmom! Love ya! xoxo

Here's some more pics from yesterday. Don't know if I like this pic better, vertical...

or horizontal....

Love these trees!

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms!! :)

Still on theme!! :)

Here's more pics from Sunday. The first one I took at the church when VA was being baptisted. Not happy with the pic because it seems so yellow. Tried to fix it with Photoshop but I am still a novice with Photoshop... When you shoot in dark places, how do you manage to have sharp clear shots??

thought this was so sweet!!

One more pic of my beautiful nephew!

And as a last shot... I was in sandals Sunday and when I got to my stepsister, who lives about 1/2 hour up north from me... her backyard still had snow...!! It was warm, we were in t-shirts... and snow all around... weird!! ;)

Sweet Sunday

Yesterday was my cute nephew VA's baptism. We all went to my stepsister's after to celebrate... Had to bake a cake, of course!!
Made a chocolate cake with buttercream icing... that I didn't get to taste because we couldn't stay for supper... Heard it was good!!

My niece M helped me decorate the cake. She was the one that threw the sprinkles on and decided where to put the little shoes!!

Boy is it tough to climb up a step!!

So cute!!

The handsome VA flirting with me!! :) Love ya! xoxo

Rare visit

I was feeling nostalgic and needed to go see my mom's resting place. She passed away many years ago (more than 25!) after loosing her battle with cancer. I don't go often to the cemetery, but for some reason, needed to go and be near her. Only problem... lots and lots of snow! Had trouble finding my way but did spend a bit of time in this beautiful calm setting. Will go back soon when there is less snow.

I think I needed this quiet time and place after all the craziness of New York!
