Last week I bought myself a pasta machine. I have wanted one for a while and finally decided to get it. Yesterday, made some pasta dough in our bread machine and today was the day of the lasagna making!
Even Ben helped out - when I started loosing sensation in my right arm with all that cranking!!
Ignore the mess in my kitchen and the messy hair too!!
Finally got it right after a try. We made it too thin and it fell apart when we boiled it. The second time was just perfect!
We just had the lasagna tonight and it was DELICIOUS!! What a difference fresh pasta makes (but I won't be making this every weekend - it is quite time consuming!!)

Yum! Looks like fun!
Yum!!!!!!!!!! I've never tried making pasta but it does sound really good!
Just think of all the calories you burned making that pasta though. When I make chicken and dumplings I make homemade dumplings rather than the quick-mix drop dumplings. Oh so much better.
I sounds amazing! I have never tried making pasta but it is my favourite so I really should!
I have a mental block about any recipe that requires dough. So, my hat (if I had one) is off to you!
making the noodles is difficult enough - but you did that & got a photo.
The Italian in me is so impressed! There really isn't anything like home-made pasta, and the "fresh" pasta in the store just does not compare. By the way, if you feel really ambitious, you're not far from making ravioli. Just got a little, very inexpensive, gadget that looks like a miniature pizza wheel, with zig-zaggy edges on the wheel. Then it's basically like laying out one strip of lasagna dough, plopping on the filling, putting on the top strip of the lasanga and running the little wheel around the filling, making the little pillows. You'd love it!
Ambitious! I have never made my own pasta; I'm scared of the mess!
