Once a year, Montrealers get a free museum day. You can visit any museum in Montreal for free! They even offer free buses to take you from place to place! Yesterday, went for a short walk near home, and visited The Fur Trade at Lachine National Historic Site of Canada - a very small museum near my home - but a beautiful beautiful old house!

I really like the architecture!
That is really pretty! What a great way to get people to visit museums more often!
Love that house--the stonework, and the way the red trim on the windows pop--what a great place!

Oh my goodness, that first show is perfection. Love the composition, the colors, and that stonework is gorgeous!
What a treat! I wonder if they have something like that in Maine. I love the textures of this old building, and the red of the window casings is just icing on the cake.
Ooh, I want to live THERE! It is gorgeous, and I am super-jealous of your free museum day!
Gorgeous building-love the texture of it- and that sounds like such a fun day!! Your colors are great in these, too!
