I noticed a few days ago that he wasn't eating and was just staring at his water without drinking. Noticed too that he had lost a lot of weight, suddenly. Brought him to the clinic a couple of hours ago, and they found a large mass in his kidney. Cancer.
Never thought I would be crying my eyes out over a cat. Lost a few dogs when I was a kid and teenager and was heartbroken but never thought a cat would get to me like he did!

Oh sweetie I am so sorry for you. I put my furbaby down last year and I cried for days. I had my cat for almost 14 years and I still miss him terribly. HUGS!!

Oh, I'm so sorry! Cats and dogs have ways of weaseling into our hearts, and sometimes the impact can really take us by surprise. I'm glad you have some really beautiful photos of KitKat. (cute name.)
I am so sorry for your loss - a pet is also a family member and their passing is painful. I've been through this too many times (currently struggling in healing our 10 yr. old b/w cat) and regardless of how long you have them (last member I had to have put down was 21 years old) - it is a heart-felt loss. {{{hugs}}}
