These were taken in the St-Roch neighbourghood. It used to be a tough neighbourghood, but now they renovated a lot of the old buildings, turned them into condos, and it's now a fun place to live!
Don't know if you ever had a poutine. It's a Quebec specialty. French fries, gravy and cheese. As you can see, there are many kinds of poutines!
My son loved poutines when he was on his mission in Edmonton! Love your pictures today. So colorful! Looks like that has become a fun neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful old buildings. It's always awesome when they are able to bring areas like that back to life.
ReplyDeleteVery lovely pictures and the poutines sounds interesting - believe I've seen them on one of the food shows.
ReplyDeleteYou have the coolest buildings! I'm glad there is a move to use what we have instead of tear down and build new. The older buildings have such character. Those poutines sound delicious! I'm afraid that I'll gain 5 pounds just thinking about them! lol
ReplyDeleteLOVE YOUR PHOTOS TODAY!
ReplyDeleteYes, I was shouting! Although not snapshots, they ARE snapshots of life today - the buildings, the storefronts, the soda prices. Nice!
Oh I tried to comment on this one yesterday I think it was - but something happened. I have heard of french fries like that but I don't know if that's what they were called. SUCH pretty pictures!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
