Baking Sunday

Sunday... time for some muffins!!  My coworkers will be happy to see that I am back to baking some muffins!! :)

Decided to make a recipe I have made once before - Lemon-Chocolate-Chip-Muffins-263836.  Had a few lemons to use up and since I just love the mix of lemon and chocolate!! Mmmmmm!! Can't wait to have a bite... or two! :)

Olympic Stadium

I have spent the last week or so watching the Olympics. I just love the speed skating events and the hockey games!!!  Montreal got the Olympics in 1976... 

This is a view of our Olympic Stadium from across the St-Lawrence River.  We used to have a baseball team (the Expos) that played there after the Stadium was constructed... The Expos are now the Washington Nationals... The Stadium is now used for various concerts and events.

Would love to get a great view of Downtown Montreal... We have various bridges around... but since I am scared of heights - can't imagine walking on these bridges to get a good shot!! ;)

More fun with my Knifty Knitter

Been knitting like crazy!! So easy with the Knifty Knitter!! Had a bit of trouble doing the hat with flaps - but after a bit of practising, managed to do not too bad!!

Sunday Baking

My favorite thing to do on a Sunday - baking!!

Was going out for brunch to friends' house and baked them some cupcakes as a thank you gift!

Made this recipe chocolate-fudge-cupcakes-413834 and frosted with Chocolate-Chip-Buttercream-Frosting-123752 - haven't tasted yet... kept a few for dessert tonight! ;)

Went for a short walk on Sunday in St. Henri (about 15 minutes away from home).  Almost no snow on the ground and grey skies but still a nice walk!!

Thought this building was cool - very very very narrow though!

Knifty Knitter

One of the first things I bought when I got to Burlington was... the Knifty Knitter!! After hearing about it on Two Peas and seeing the beautiful hats everyone made - I just had to give it a try!! I took a few knitting lessons many years ago and found out I had no patience!!! With the Knifty Knitter, I knitted two baby hats in a manner of couple of hours!! They are not perfect - but I am so proud of the fact that I made them myself!! ;)

Valentine's Cupcakes

What can I say - 3 times baking cupcakes this week... I'm on a roll!! My in-laws came over yesterday and baked some cupcakes again!!

Happy Birthday T!

Today's finally T's bithday!! Happy birthday my dear friend!! :)

Since I mixed up the day of her birthday - I had to bake her cupcakes for her "real" birthday today!!  I am sure my coworkers were happy to share!!

There is something that I don't understand.  It was a beautiful day but quite cold and I saw a lot of guys in shorts... why???!!!  I had a winter coat, thick gloves, a hat and I was freezing because of the humidity...

Happy Unbirthday T!

I have been friends with T for more than 20 years... so how can I forget the day of her birthday??!!!! I thought for sure it was the 9th - today... but she changed it on me and now it's the 11th!!! ;)  So, as I was on vacation yesterday, decided to bake some cupcakes to bring for her birthday... which is on the 11th now...  Anyway, happy unbirthday T!! Love ya!

PS Does that mean I have to bake more cupcakes for Thursday??!!;)

Somebody Missed Us...

We were gone two nights and we were welcomed by this smiling face!!  She meowed and meowed and meowed and meowed... woke me up a couple of times by putting her furry face in my face and slept on me most of the night...

You are lucky you are kinda cute because I like my sleep and I wish you didn't wake me up every night!

Today, she slept most of the day and she is back to her meowing to get my attention... cats... gotta love them! ;)
