Baking Sunday

Bought some fresh cranberries yesterday and wanted to bake something sweet with them.  Finally made some muffins that I had made before, but this time, used up some mini chocolate bars left over from Halloween!

Love the sweetness of the chocolate mixed with the tartness of the cranberries!!

Can't wait to have one - maybe after dinner!!

and I will be nice and share with my coworkers tomorrow!! ;)

Hate wearing glasses...

and I rarely wear them unless I have problems with my contacts... which happened last weekend. Ben had the pleasure of taking a few shots of me with my glasses!!

Chocolate

Don't know if I every mentioned my love for chocolate??!! I have a very sweet tooth and I just love anything chocolate! So these little treats were perfect for me!! Had to wrap them up and bring them to the office if I didn't want to eat them all! 

This recipe is so easy - almost made it with my eyes closed!! :)

One Very Old Tree

Found this old dying tree - found it interesting as it was covered with big mushrooms!!

Looks like I lost the sky... have to learn to meter!! It was really a grey day but the sky here looks white!! Guess I overexposed once again...

Too bad the sun wasn't there...

but it is such a peaceful place anyway!! I could just sit there and do nothing for a while!!

Baking Sunday

his time, my baking was for my in-laws!! Went there for lunch and decided to bake a bit!!

Made these yummy Apple-Bars-61171 - they tasted a bit like apple crisp! Only problem I got, is that they crumbled when I served them!! ;)

I also made Chewy-Chocolate-Chip-Bars-100666 - perfect little snack!

More old buildings!

I just LOVE Old Montreal!! It is so fun to walk around and look up and see all those old beautiful buildings!! Too bad it was getting late and we had to leave!

Sunday was a bit cloudy but after a nice brunch, we decided to walk around and look at the old buildings. This old building is now a hotel. Would love to see what it looks like inside!!

60 muffins for 60 years...

My sweet cousin turned 60 on November 11. We celebrated today with a nice brunch with friends and family.  It was a fun occasion to see people I don't get to see often enough!! Since I love to bake... decided to surprise her with 60 mini-cupcakes for her 60th!!! She loved the idea... and her boyfriend too!! :)

I won, I won, I won!!

Don't know if you remember, but sometime in May I asked for your help to choose some photos for a photo contest at my office. I could submit 4 photos and the theme was urban/country. I submitted 4 photos





and these two next photos won me first price!!!! At first, I didn't want to participate, but I'm so glad I did at the urging of my family, colleagues and friends!!! Thank you all for your help!!

and for those that are curious as to what I won... They will enlarge and laminate my two winning photos and hang them up in our office lounge. And I also won $500 gift certificate at a spa/hotel!! Yoohoo!! :)
