Goodbye KitKat

I am so sad. I had to take the hard decision to have my cat - KitKat - put to sleep. I have had him for almost 10 years - he was such a sweet and affectionate cat - I miss him already.

I noticed a few days ago that he wasn't eating and was just staring at his water without drinking. Noticed too that he had lost a lot of weight, suddenly. Brought him to the clinic a couple of hours ago, and they found a large mass in his kidney. Cancer.

Never thought I would be crying my eyes out over a cat. Lost a few dogs when I was a kid and teenager and was heartbroken but never thought a cat would get to me like he did!

Snowy Apple Tree

Love apple trees - they are so beautiful in the Spring with all their flowers - so pretty with fresh little apples in the Summer and, in the Winter - they are beautiful frozen art!!

Cours Mont-Royal

Cours Mont-Royal is an upscale shopping centre in downtown Montreal. Rarely go there, though I can get there from my office without going outside - as it is very expensive to shop there! The only place is can afford buying from... is the drugstore!! ;)




Over the shopping centre are some very expensive condos... Million $$ condos too!!

Visit of Dominion Textile

While walking around in St. Henri, found ourselves in front of the old Dominion Textile building (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dominion_Textile), this old company was renovated (still keeping its old charm), and is now used by different small companies. To our surprise, the door was open, and we went exploring in this awesome building! So much to see and so beautiful!

P.S. the old staircases that were in my previous post are used not only as emergency exits, but also as regular stairs. Aren't they cool! :)

St-Henri Old Buildings

As you might have noticed if you have been following my blog, I love old buildings - especially old doors and windows!! Went for a walk on Sunday, and found some wonderful old buildings in St-Henri!!

Cats and Alley

Yesterday was sunny and so beautiful - went for a long walk with Ben in St-Henri. Here's one quick shot I took of an alley - loved the icy look of it! and the sunflare, of course! ;)

Flowers

Ben gave me a beautiful bouquet of flowers and some chocolate for Valentine's day.


Such a sweet guy!! :)

The only problem I have with flowers...

Is that my cats love to eat them!!

So I have to hide them so they don't destroy them! :(
